Day Zero Goal # 17: Go Wine Tasting

I've been wanting to do this for so long, and the time had finally come! Best part of this goal was that it was spent with some amazing people!

The boy and I had gotten a voucher for free wine tasting at Monte De Oro Winery in Temecula (which we happened to be right next to this past weekend while we were celebrating the wedding of Becky and Dave). Our tasting included 6 tastes and a bottle of wine to take home!

We were joined by my lovely friends (ok well they are coworkers too but I think of them as my lovely friends) and we spent the afternoon sipping on wine, having great conversation and munching on some tasting cheese and meat plates.

It's beyond me why I have never been wine tasting before because this was so fantastic and relaxing.

Our favorite wines where the Synergy 65, the Syrah, and the Cabernet Sauvignon.  Hands down our favorite wine of the day was the Synergy 65, a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot and Zinfandel, with such a smooth finish. To see their entire selection of Red Wines, check it out here.

“Wine is one of the most civilized things in the world and one of the most natural things of the world that has been brought to the greatest perfection, and it offers a greater range for enjoyment and appreciation than, possibly, any other purely sensory thing.”
