I made up my mind earlier in the week that I would run/jog 6.2 miles in order to prepare myself for the 10k Camp Pendelton Mud Run I'm participating in in 8 DAYS! I do 5k's frequently but I never truly attempt to jog the whole thing. It's normally more of a social event with friends were we walk and talk while we donate our time and money to some good cause or another.
Yesterday I decided was the day to do the course I had planned out in my head. Little did I know that it was ONLY 2.84 miles. Not nearly the 6.2 miles I had decided to tackle. Today I'm determined to tackle this course, not once, but twice and then some.
